This Heart Month, learn more about cholesterol and how small lifestyle changes can help protect your heart. High cholesterol often has no symptoms, but it can increase your risk of heart disease and stroke so, awareness is key.
💡 Simple ways to support a healthy heart:
🥗 Eat a balanced diet with less saturated fat and more fruit, veg, wholegrains and oily fish.
🏃 Aim for 150 minutes of activity a week.
🚭 Stop smoking.
🍷 Keep alcohol within 14 units a week.
⚖️ Maintain a healthy weight.
💉 Get your cholesterol checked, especially if you’re over 40 or have a family history of heart disease!
