Stay safe and healthy abroad

If you are travelling abroad, you may need to be vaccinated.

You can access our travel vaccination form by completing the online form below or you can collect a form from the main reception and return it to the practice. It is important to provide this information at least eight weeks before you travel so that the vaccines can be ordered,

The practice nurse will review the information you have supplied.  You will then be contacted by the practice nurse who will advise you on the vaccines you may need.  The nurse may also send you a link to the travel health website for further information and to confirm the area you may be travelling to.

It is important to make this initial appointment at least eight weeks before you travel so that the vaccines can be ordered. You will need a second appointment to receive the vaccinations.  Your second appointment should be at least two weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription which cost more than the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
