This service is for anyone who is aged over 12 years old, you can be assessed and treated for acute sinusitis symptoms in the majority of community pharmacies without having to wait for a GP appointment.
Symptoms of a sinusitis infection can include:
• pain, swelling and tenderness around your cheeks, eyes or forehead
• a blocked nose
• a reduced sense of smell
• green or yellow mucus from your nose
• a sinus headache
As well as being able to suggest over-the-counter treatments, many pharmacies are open later in the evenings and at weekends. You don’t even need to make an appointment.
The scheme provides convenient options and fast treatment.
No appointment or Doctor’s referral is needed.
Please note this service is not appropriate for anyone under the age of 12 years old, suffers with chronic sinusitis , immunosuppressed and pregnant you will need to see an Advanced Nurse Practitioner first at the GP Surgery
