Whooping Cough (Pertussis) 🚨
Whooping cough is a highly contagious respiratory infection that can affect all ages, but it’s most dangerous for babies under 1. 🤧
🛑 Watch for symptoms: runny nose, sneezing, mild cough, severe coughing fits, vomiting after coughing.
💉 Prevention:
• Keep children’s DTaP vaccinations up-to-date.
• Pregnant? Get vaccinated 16–32 weeks to protect your newborn.
• Wash hands and cover coughs/sneezes.
