The effect of DNAS is:
• An increase in the waiting time for appointments
• Frustration for both staff and patients
• A waste of resource
• A potential risk to the health of the patient
• Each missed GP appointment costs the NHS an average of £30 per person
We would like to politely remind patients to please let us know in advance if you no longer require an appointment or if you are unable to attend your appointment, so that we can offer this appointment to someone else.
This can be done via the phone, online if you have online access, at the reception desk, or responding to the reminder text which are sent to patients prior to your appointment.
