Cavernoma Awareness Day 2023 (15th August)

Cavernoma Awareness Day 2023 (15th August)
Each year, hundreds of people are diagnosed with a Cavernoma. 1 person in 625, in the UK, has a brain Cavernoma without symptoms (asymptomatic). This equates to roughly 108,000 people – enough to fill Wembley Stadium.
This annual event helps to highlight the frequency of Cavernomas in society and encourages people with a Cavernoma to join a community of people with a similar condition.
What is a Cavernoma?
A cavernoma is made up of abnormal blood vessels and can be found in the brain and/or spinal cord and looks like a raspberry.
