This year, National HIV Testing Week runs on Monday 10th to Sunday 16th February.
Every year, the campaign encourages people to get tested regularly for HIV, aiming to reduce the number of people living with undiagnosed HIV and those diagnosed late.
Currently, an estimated 4,700 people are living with undiagnosed HIV in England.
Open Clinic Sexual Health Services provide free self-testing kits for people aged 16+, which can test for HIV, as well as other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). They’re easy to order online via: www.openclinic.org.uk
During HIV Testing Week, people can also order a testing kit for HIV at: www.freetesting.hiv where they have the option of a rapid test too, which gives results in minutes.
People under 16, or those who have symptoms, should visit their nearest sexual health clinic for a test. You can visit: https://openclinic.org.uk/ to find your local clinic.
