August is Psoriasis Awareness Month, an opportunity to raise awareness and support people living with psoriasis.
Psoriasis is a long-term skin condition that can cause dry, itchy, sore, and flaky patches of skin. Although it is not contagious, it can have a significant impact on everyday life and emotional wellbeing.
At Audley Health Centre, we are fortunate to have GP’s with a special interest in skin conditions, providing expert assessment and management for patients with psoriasis and other dermatological concerns.
If you are experiencing symptoms such as persistent dry, flaky, or itchy skin, or have concerns about an existing skin condition, please contact the practice to arrange an appointment.
For additional information and support, visit Psoriasis UK, the UK’s leading charity for people affected by psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. They provide advice, support services, and up-to-date information on treatments and research.
Together, we can raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support those living with psoriasis.
