👶 Extra support now available for new and expectant first-time parents in Stoke-on-Trent 💛
New and expectant first-time parents in Stoke-on-Trent are being offered additional Health Visiting support as part of a new 12-month pilot.
Led by Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with Stoke-on-Trent City Council, the pilot offers extra home visits for first-time parents during pregnancy and the early months after birth.
Additional visits include:
🏡 Antenatal visit before birth (28–36 weeks).
👶 Follow-up visit after the new birth visit.
💛 3–4 month visit.
Health Visitors can offer advice and support around:
✔️ your baby’s health and development
✔️ feeding and routines
✔️ emotional wellbeing for parents and baby
✔️ accessing extra support if needed.
Becoming a parent for the first time can feel exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between, support is available every step of the way.
